I installed a new alternator cause that's what i needed and in order for the car to startup i had to jump start it so i did and let the cables on for a few minutes and then removed them and the car seemed to run on its own with no issues but im worried the new alternator was getting damaged by having to bring the charge back up in the battery or did the jump start already do that part?
Was i suppose to let the cables from the jump start on longer on the near dead battery?
Once it started up i let it run for 23minutes is that good enough? and then i went for a drive around town with it.
