Did i swing trade or position trade the stock?

I bought LVS (las vegas sands) On October 3rd at a great low price of $36.75 and i bought 100 shares at that time. I wanted one stock for a short term because i saw how LVS moves and it constantly moves up and down by like $10. I wanted a $1000 gain in my porfolio for that stock so i put in a trailing stop/GTC order when the stock reached $46.75 on Tuesday. Wednesday my stock was sold at around $48.50. So i made the profit i wanted to make and it was short term. My question is does this count as swing trading/position trading or is it just a short term investment and swing trading/position trading is something completely different? Does any investment held shorter than a year considered a swing or position trade and short term investment?
I've never intentionally done a swing/position/day trade so i don't know if what i did fits criteria of a swing/position trade.
