Did Islam really evolve from Christianity and Judaism? Then why are there

Islam is based upon the teachings of Muhammad. Supposedly, the story goes that he studied the Torah and the Bible, and Allah gave him the Qur'an to write down and start a new understanding of sacred Judeo-Christian scriptures.

Unfortunately, Muhhammad was illiterate, so who the true source of the Qur'an is, is anybody's guess.

A cursory comparison of Allah and God between the Bible and the Qur'an reveals that Allah is not the God of the Bible.

The messiah

It started with what we know as Judaism. In Judaism a messiah is predicted (proheisized).

Jesus comes. Some people (Jewish) believe He is the predicted messiah and that He is also God. They are called Chrisitians.

This belief spreads to many other nations including Arabs and muslims one of whom was a man named Muhammed who claimed to be another prophet from God and claimed that Jesus, while the messiah, was not God...This is what Islamic followers believe.

So:

Jewish: No messiah yet

Christians: Jesus is the Messiah and He is God

Islam: Jesus is the messiah but He and God are separate.

For the exact same reason there are still monkeys, you humorous person, you. Evolution, whether biological or social, doesn't mean something transforms into something else completely replacing the progenitor, but rather that something slightly new branches off from the old.
