I am reading a Murder Mystery set in 1934 and a Murder has just taken place and an hour later one of the sleuths Frankie) Phoned the other (Bobby) and asked if he had heard.
The 2nd Murder took place in a Village and one sleuth was in one end of the Vilage another in an Inn, they were both in Hampshire.
