What was your favorite thing to do on a camping trip? Did you have any funny moments that you could share?
My sister and I love to camp and we decided to make our husbands campfire biscuts and have sausage gravy over them. Well what we served was burnt offerings. We had a big laugh out of it.

Yes. In upstate New York and the Southwest. The funniest thing was the first night camping (ever) trying to put up a tent in the dark. Somehow we ended up with one long pole about 10 feet long. Fortunately some kind souls came along and helped us. Favorite thing to do would have to be cooking on the open fire.

I used to go to a lot of Bluegrass festivals & camp out there for 3 nights. One time it rained a lot & there was a big water puddle by us. I got some string & a stick & acted like i was setting there fishing. Everyone got a bang out of that.

We'd go when I was a kid in Colorado. Dad always had sailboats and we'd camp at lakes, fish and sail.

I love to sail to this day! I love it. Nothing else in life has ever given me that total sense of contentment and joy. Nothing.

I have only been on two regular camping trips. The first was sharing
a friends travel trailer near some sandunes at an ocean location.
It turned out it began to rain, and we were stuck inside the trailer
trying to stay warm, day and night. We ended up playing some board
games and cards, til it was time to come home. Nothing funny went
on, But we did share alot of laughs, as I recall.
The second time, was just my husband and I at Lost Lake, below
Mt St Helens, about a week before it blew it's top. I never thought
camping near the mountains could be so cold. During the night we
heard alot of little noise around our tent. I was afraid a big bear would
crash in on us, from all of the crunching sounds outside from foot
travel. So I hardly slept, worrying about what was outside nearby.
A third and final time was sleeping in our tent, during a rock festival,
in Washington State. We got rained out during that trip also. And it
was a wierd experience, due to the tripping out of so many festival
goers who were using drugs. During our first night, we were crashed
by several hippies who needed shelter. By the lights outside, I could
see they all put their sleeping bags down and climbed in with all of
their clothes on. And I thought hippies would strip off naked. But not
one, took anything off. I guess that bunch were shy types. Not one
helped to take our tent down the morning we decided to pack it in and
leave, due to the rain continuing. Most of the entertainers, didn't even
show to perform. So it was a bust.
