Did you know that it costs one pound fifty to access a helpline for passport info.?

I just surfed the internet for advice on renewing my British passport and came only to sites advertising their phone services for one fifty per minute. Why do we put up with this kind of sh**? Everything is becoming privatised now, even info. we should have as our right. When will people stand up to this rubbish and say NO we do not want this privatisation, it is RUINING OUR LIVES/. Only by uniting in protest can we stop being exploited in this way.

NO WAY....is there nothing left this government will not put sneaky little charges on? sick to the back teeth of being ripped off left right and centre.....the day they stop being driven around in luxury cars and living in huge houses then they have a right to complain but they continue living in their ivory towers whilst us peasants pay through the nose....

B'N Tru, you couldn't afford to buy a pound with a dollar, so your assumption that a pound has a price "in dollars" is incorrect.the dollar is so worthless that it takes at least two to buy a pound.------- use the 10 downing street website to start a petition against premium rates for public services. i'll sign it.

sweetheart, go to the post office, they can give you everything you need to renew, for free!!(however passports cost £72 now!!)FAO: bn tru 2.... £1 = roughly $1.80

I had to phone them the other day and it cost me £13.50.But in the old days when this service was not available you would have to drive to Newport and this would cost me over £30, in fuel and bridge / parking charges and a whole day off work costing another £65.So stop moaning .... I would rather pay £1.50 per min from the comfort of my own home any day.

No I did not know that but there was no need for you to pay premium rates when some-one on this forum could have given you the information for nothing.

That is fuck in scandalous the thing is they know that you have to have the correct information best thing you can do is save your money queue up and talk to someone direct. Thing is love I can understand you saying protest but it will never change things you know and I do still we soldier on.
