introduced universal healthcare? Rupert Murdoch supported the Australian Labor Party when Gough Whitlam was elected in 1972 on a program of social change (which included universal health care). The social reforms were introduced. Later he backed a different horse.

Murdoch has consistently tried to play kingmaker, and interfered in the democratic political process, to further the expansion of his worldwide media empire. He's no patriot. So take his new media with a grain of salt

Rupert Murdoch, like most neo cons in the States, began as a Socialist, so it only makes sense that he supported socialized healthcare in his youth. Rupert is a born radical and radicals are extremely susceptible to the lure of the polar opposite. But one should always remember that whether he is a Socialist or a neo con, everything will always be about Rupert Murdoch. The man is a megalomaniac who I would love to ship back to Australia so he'd leave us and the Brits alone.

Hmmmm.....Interesting. So by your own interpretation of "Patriot", the left-wing liberals in Washington are not Patriots either.

What do they keep saying on here? If you're not a liberal at 20, you have no heart, but if you're not a conservative at 40, you have no brain.

I guess the guy grew a brain.
