I was wondering how many of you replaced the head unit in a 1990 Cadillac Deville or similar Cadillac with the non Bose stock system.
I want to replace the unit due to the fact that it is quite old and I would also like to be able to play CDs and MP3s in my vehicle while driving.
I wanted to know how difficult it was to remove the old unit and install a new one considering the age of the vehicle. It also has a power antenna. I want to know if a aftermarket unit will effect the functionality of the power antenna in anyway or compromise its ability to retract. I've heard of similar problems like this in the past with other makes and models. Also any more information about the stereo system for this vehicle would gladly be appreciated.
Also is upgrading the speakers in the future recommended? I would like a budget system that still has a pretty good punch to it.
