direct tv issue!!!!!!!!!! searching for satellite signal...?

Okay, I plan on calling Direct TV soon, but I would love to figure this out on my own first before calling, because I don't have time to call until the weekend. Anyway, I have had direct tv for about two years now and all of a sudden when I got up this morning, it said searching for satellite signal...so I reset it, and I also took out the access card and put it back in and went to work and thought maybe that would help, well it hasn't, it still says searching for signal...what should I do? Serious answers only please!
 
I have dirrect t.v. too. how long has it been doing this? if its only been a day who cares it happened to mine too. but if this has been more than one day then you have to move the dish if you dont have a compass you need professional help.
 
This happends to me all the time in storms and in clear weather. The only solution I have for you is to cancel service with Direct tv and if it is in your area get U-Verse tv by at&t it's supposed to be much better. The only reason I'm still with Direct tv is because U-verse hasn't quite made it to my town yet. I'm just trying to wait it out. Untill then I will be searching for satellite during my favorite shows...
