When did DIRECTV start charging for receivers along with a monthly leasing fee? We called to have our regular receiver that we were leasing changed to an HD receiver and were told that we had to pay $99 one time fee and then the $5 monthly fee. We had changed out another receiver to an HD receiver 2 years ago and did not have to pay a one time fee.
