Diseases that supposedly don't exist/ other conspiracies?

So I need to write a research paper for English class, which is all fine and dandy. However, I must find a topic that can be under a broad category of "conspiracies". So I want to do an epidemic or disease conspiracy. However, I don't want to do HIV or something like that. I want to do something not as broad, something not heard much of before.

Any suggestions?
