Dish Network property lost during Hurricane Ike?

When Hurricane Ike destroyed Bolivar Peninsula on the Texas coast, it devastated the total area..one house left standing when 18' wall of water hit...over 300 homes on pylons 17' in the air, totally obliterated..my house among them..Dish Network is demanding over $400 for the Equipment, and has turned it over to a collection agency..am I legally responsible, or was it an "Act of God"..anyone with legal knowledge, would sure appreciate a reply..I am 77 yrs of age on Social Security, could never afford to pay $400..thanks
 
You are legally responsible. Read your contract.
However, f you are 77 on Social Security, the collection agency can do nothing except rattle your cage. Ignore them
