Disruptive neighbors complaint to HOA. What can I do after complaining emotionally?

I have a neighbor that has caused all types of problems. We keep to ourselves, and only notice problems when they "hit the fan" because we work all day. About a year ago, a lady moved into a home with her 5 kids. We thought it was a beautiful family at first, but later we would learn more about them. She's had so many issues it is ridiculous. For example, she continuously trashes the outside of the home. Her kids are continuously running wild, and the police has been called to her house over a number of times.

Well, yesterday unfortunately, I saw one of her friends in the parking lot rolling up what appeared to be marijuana. A neighbor came over and said he overheard a conversation about selling out of that house. I was completely overwhelmed, considering that I have 3 children of my own. A neighbor mentioned that she is Section 8, and that she has social services visiting at least once a month. I wrote this on my letter, but apparently it is all a lie.

I contacted the Home Owners Association (HOA) letting them know what's been going on. Out of desperation, I wrote things that I am not sure about and have learned through hearsay. The HOA forwarded the email to the owner of that property (it is a rented property). He said that if the allegations are true, he would start eviction procedures. However, if the allegations are wrong he would take it into his own hands.

As a worried mother, I emptied into that letter everything that I have heard. It was a big mistake, I allowed my emotions to get the best of me. Now, this man is asking to meet with me and his tenants. I do not feel comfortable letting that person into my house, and most of all feel that he is trying to have a "circus" show. The people that go into that house are up to no good, but my neighbors are afraid to speak up. The one that does speak up also rents the house, contrary to us, we own our house. Even worse, I am afraid of getting sued for what I wrote.

My intention is not to get this lady kicked out of her home. She has 5 kids! All we want is our neighborhood to be peaceful again. What do you think the outcome will be?

Sue the homeowner. Just a letter from a lawyer, may solve it if he see's your serious. HOA's usually have conduct rules too.

Now had it been true and something had happened to one of her kids and you did nothing how would you feel then......it is clear that this woman has had trouble in the past and on a continually basis so there may be some truth to what you know.....now the cat is out of the bag and you must own up to it......
