Dissertation help! French and Politics?

Please, I need help! my dissertation title was due like yonks ago, and I have quite unhelpful tutors. I am doing a BA French and International Relations degree, and my degree is owned by International Relations. I wanted to do something about xenophobia or feminism- for example- Is the public face that France wears very different to that of its face at home? Has France reallyovercome its struggles with its ex Colonies? But thats two questiong. Or did the feminist movement do enough to change womens position in France and is it to European standards?
How do I phrase it? as a title? or something i will proove or disproove. i was really trying to see if anyonw could word my ideas cause i cant
 
It's not really clear what you want of us (the YA community) - to decide for you? That's not really the best way forward is it? What if we choose wrong? I think the best advice I can give is to sit down with the various (three) titles on top of pieces of blank paper and pencil in very broad fields of discussion you can think of to include. This need only take an hour or so each. By the time you have done this it is possible that one may be taking shape in your head in terms of the arguments/ structure for the paper.....
