Ok, so two days ago I downloaded a video from Veoh.com and it required a video codec DivX in order to work in WMM. So I downloaded it from the offical website. It was ok, but after 5 hours or so I began having the WebHancer Spyware virus that kept having fraud popups and messages on the bottom of the screem claiming I have caught a virus and to download so and so programs. I ended up having to reboot my computer.
So now, I need this codec and a friend said that Xvid Codec is the same and that I should use it. However after the shock i recieved from DivX I'm a little afraid to do so. Is Xvid safe from viruses and spyware. This is the link to it.

Even though it said it is tested spyware free I'm not whether or not it is actually safe. Anyone have any ideas?
