Divx player plus issues?

so i'm trying to watch mkv files on the divx player plus software i downloaded and sometimes the audio would skip like it makes that scratching noise on dvds, and when i try to fast forward it freezes, any fixes out there?

Divx player is a really iffy application, especial with non-divix formatted video

i would recommend downloading VLC media player, its fast, reliable, and extremely capable.
