ok i have this problem with downloading Divx. Whenever i am trying to watch
some movie in Divx, it says i need a newer version of Divx called Divx player
V2.1. So when i try to download it, about at 95% of the download, my anti-virus
detect a virus, and prevent the download. So what's wrong? because it says
on the website that it had a few thousand views, which means other people
didn't have a problem with watching it. And it received 5 stars in quality.
here is the website for movie

1) Any ratings can be "astro-turfed" (i.e. created artificially)

2) VLC player will play ANYTHING

it's probably McAfee Site Advisor causing the problem. mcafee's siteadvisor has been having problems with people flagging sites as bad when they aren't. usually, it's Open Source Software.

if you want a good free video player, there's always vlc.

My guess is that as it's a new version your AV supplier hasn't had a chance to update their virus definitions database adding the new files, processes, registry changes as safe so it's a false positive detection.
