divx player problem.?

Could someone tell me why lots of videos on sites that say they are divx videos don't work. It will say that the divx player can only play divx and avi files. Here is a link to the movie willow, where it says this to me.Would someone try this as well, and even if you can't help it would be nice to know if it's just my computer.
