Do actors get more interesting as they age?

Did you write off a young actor as cute (but not very appealing) only to find the same actor more appealing the older he became?

Actors gain more experience and skill as they age, assuming that they have any grey matter between their ears.

If you are looking for artistry in terms of how to "own" an acting role, then the more interesting actors tend to be older ones. There are exceptions to this, young actors who understand the game, and have the maturity, insight and talent to personify great and engaging characters, and make something wonderful out of the scripts they are given. Lucky sods.

In my opinion, yes. Will Smith, John Stamos and Johnny Depp are great examples.
