Do DVD+R Discs Fuck up the Wii Laser ?

i hear that the Booktype setting can screw a Wii because the Wii laser strains not to read the booktype setting, messing up the laser overtime . is this true ?
 
No.The only way to mess p the lens is to put something in it to scratch it.
 
No it's not true but it can possibly make your Wii overheat somehow apparently.
