No pun intended. I mean are they good at what they do or is the suction shoddy? I need one and I don;t want to over pay but, I don't want one where I have to literally press the vacuum against what I want it to suck up.

I have tried a few different handheld vacuums and it helps out a lot picking up crumbs or vacuuming in tight spots where the big vacuum can't go. I had one I used for two years and the motor burned out but I used it twice a day for cleaning out my bird cages and feathers that fly out. Very handy to own a hand held for those little jobs that are actually big helps. They are worth the price for the convenience and quick pick up jobs. They aren't very expensive and so handy.

Eureka makes a stick vac that you can get at Sears for about $40...I worked there for 15 years and regularly used one around the store...Great suction and not too expensive....Good luck.. :-)
