Do I commit crime if I kill my landlady's dogs?

My dog was attacked by landlady's dogs. It was so bad that I paid $ 5,200, to save my dog's life. Landlady just said sorry, and then blamed me call animal control because she was afraid her dogs would be taken away. She has no intention to pay part of my bills. I even doubt if she will pay if I win the case in small claims court.
I just wonder if I commit crime if I beat her dogs to death.

Ya, just slightly. I can understand why your upset and I would wanna do the same thing, but there are better ways to handle this. Take her to court if you have to.
