I'm sorry if this is confusing:
Ok, so first off I sometimes have deja vu about random things that totally don't matter at all. I am a big day dreamer, and I don't always remember my actual dreams. At few times a day something I do feels or looks familiar, and it might've been from dreams I had the night before (I've actually had the same deja vu like three times of pulling a tiny brush through my hair and didn't like the feeling of it. Sometimes i get that feeling when brushing my hair and I feel the same way, and see the picture of myself doing it the way I pictured).
Today I read a paragraph of my reading book and I felt that I already had read before (though I hadn't) and knew the information, like I knew it was comming.
Another thing that happens is I unknowingly predict the future, like I find out after I do/think something, or I know something's going to happen.
About a year ago we made a recipe in cooking class that I went home and made that night. I didn't have the right kind of dough, and I used cresent roll dough instead. The next day, my teaher says it's better to use cresent roll dough. I also remember my sister showing me a picture of a cartoon cat she printed off of clip art that I had saw in a dream 3 nights before. I don't remember many more examples, but I know I've had tons of things like this happen, I just can't recall any more.
I've also thought of things like "what if this happened? that would be great!" or that i hoped for something that I think I've earned, and I get it, like a solo today in band class.
If anyone has a clue of what I'm talking about, please tell me but don't be mean! Or if I confused you and you need more information/clarity I will be happy to post additional info.
If you think I don't have any kind of premonitions or whatever, that this stuff just happens, or is just a coincidence, that's fine.

thank you for answering! =)

According to dreammoods.com In a prophetic dream, you see the future through your dream. It is difficult to determine that a dream is prophetic because we can only confirm such a dream after it has taken place. Even then, we only hear of the success stories. There are so many other dreams that do not come true. Thus, prophetic dream may just be mere coincidences.

In the science world, it is believed that psychic powers do not exist. Scientists rationalize that dreams that seemingly come true may actually be a suggestion or guide for you to follow, thus making it seem as if the dream is coming true. You are willing it to be true. Another argument is that you may have a tendency to self-edit your dream to match the outcome. Because dreams are so easily forgotten, your memory of the dream may not be accurate. Yet another theory is that your dreaming mind is able to piece together bits of information faster that your conscious mind. Your mind is able to see what will happen based on information that it has already collected.

Still, there are believers that dreams can indeed predict or foretell the future. Prophetic dreams are linked to major disasters, wars, assassinations, accidents, lottery numbers or even with winning horse race. Such dreams have helped solve crimes. In history, Abraham Lincoln was said to have dreamt of his own body laying in a coffin two weeks before he his assassination. British engineer, John Dunne dreamt of the eruption of a volcano in France which came true.

Having a prophetic dream suggests that you are experiencing anxiety and that you are expressing a desire for certainty in the future. You are looking to your dream to help you make an important decision or to reassure you that you are on the right path.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I am the same way. I once had a dream that this guy i liked was in a bike accident and broke his arm. The next time i saw him, he was in a cast, with a broken arm caused by a bike accident. The website, www.dreammoods.com, helped me out a lot to better understand the dreams. There are many different kind of dreams, and they have explanations for all of them. They even have an article on day dreaming, which i also do a lot. They also have dream interpretations, and discussions between members on the site about different dreams they have and what they mean. Its a great site, you should check it out. Hope this helps you.

I believe you are very sensitive about things. I have had dreams of places overseas before I even knew about them and was invited by someone to visit and traveled to that place only because my luggage had been delayed at the airport. Deja Vu big time. I started having such dreams when I was 12 years old, many of them were very serious and foreboding and many were very happy.
