do i let by BD or amp decode the DTS? (audio newbie)?

i have a sony bdpd-s370 BD connected to a sony ht-as5 amp. both are capable of decoding DTS

my question is, do I
1/ let the BD decode DTS and output LPCM to the amp?, or
2/ output DTS from the BD, and let the amp decode it?

I suppose my question is; do I set my bd to output dts or lpcm to the amp?
