Do I need a prepaid Telus Starter Kit?

There is this promo in Telus Mobility where you can buy a phone for 49.99 prepaid, I want to know if in that 49.99 it includes the sim card. Does that mean that I dont need to buy a starter kit?

TELUS's web-page is only offering prepaid CDMA phones right now and they don't need a sim. All of their prepaid phones come with an 'activation credit' so that you can activate it online ($10 comes off the credit) and the rest is your prepaid balance to use until you top-up.
Everything is in the box to get you going so you do not need to buy a Starter Kit.
