do i need internet to use/get instant messanger on my blackberry 8300?

yahoo instant messanger
i havve unlimited messaging and it includes instant messaging
 
yes you will be using the inter net to use messanger but if you get a data plan that shoudl be included but it is best to check what you get
 
There are only 2 options for plans for blackberries.

Voice plan and data plan. If you have the data plan then you will be able to use the instant messenger.
