Do I need to buy a new tv for my blu ray dvd player? ?

Do I need a 1080p tv to play blu ray? Do i have to go out and buy a new tv or is my 720 ok?
 
You don't need 1080p but to get the ultra high definition you bought the blu ray player for, you will need 1080p
 
720 should be fine for blu ray
its just the fact that 1080p is the best and everyone loves to say they have the best
but 720p is still amazing graphics
all you need is a HDMI cable

As long as you have the way to connect the two ... HDMI cable ... it will work fine as you have it.

But the definition won't be up to what blu ray can produce. 1080p has over twice the number of pixels than 720, and is true HDTV where 720 is not. You'll notice it more on movies that are specifically done with 1080p in mind, such as the newer Disney Pixar animations which are amazing in blu ray. Older ones generally not.

You could wait until they come down in price a bit more, which they will do and maybe not too far away either.
