Do i need to know how to sew to get into any Fashion school for design?

I'm only 16. I know the basics of sewing, but i have no idea about anything relating to draping fabric and pattern making. I'm about to start learning, but do i have to learn how to do all of that for a school like F.I.T or parsons?
I'm trying to learn everything ASAP before i get to that point of college!!
 
they usually give a pretty easy test, just to see if you know what you're doing.
