me and my boyfriend want to take an alaskan cruise sometime in july or august. what i would like to know is do a lot of people take their kids on those cruises? which cruise line is the best. i have already done some researching and it looks like all of them have the good and bad, but which one caters to young adults (i.e im 23 and my boyfriend is 26) we don't want a lot of older couples and little kids running around

Cruising in July/August, there's always going to be kids around. But the Alaskan itineraries do tend to get less kids than say the Caribbean itineraries. If you can go when the kids are back in school, there's much less kids on those cruises.

You're right, each company has good and bad aspects. For your age, I would recommend Carnival or Royal Caribbean. Have fun!

Holland America Line is known to be more sedate and cater to older people, so not as many kids - but does not cater to your age group, either.

But I suggest you pick your cruise based on its itinerary, not the other passengers, or even onboard entertainment. The point of an Alaskan cruise is to see and experience that part of the U S.
