Do Mormons say that Christ is in the same place in the order of creation as Satan?

If this is true does it mean that salvation could have been in Satan instead of Christ according to Mormon Doctrine?
Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers and we were all born as siblings in heaven to them both, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 163; Gospel Through the Ages, p. 15).
Linda I'm sorry I didn't put where it came from, I have tried to correct that. :)

"One of the most fallacious doctrines originated by Satan and propounded by man is that man is saved alone by the grace of God; that belief in Jesus Christ alone is all that is needed for salvation," (Miracle of Forgiveness, Spencer W. Kimball, p. 206).
 
This is the basis of the Mormon belief. That they will be equal with God. Satan was cast out of heaven because he wanted to be equal with God. Satan tempted Eve with being equal with God. Jesus is the only one equal with God because He is God. Man never will be.
 
What I have been told by my friends who are former mormons is that the mormons believe that Jesus and satan were Spirit brothers. satan had a plan to use force and aggression to force people to follow God and Jesus had a plan of peace so the Father chose Jesus and satan got Jealous and rebelled against the father. Well anyway none of it is true. satan is a created being a fallen angel and the bible makes it clear in John chapter 1 that Jesus is God in the flesh he was not created but the creator.
 
I think Christ was created first according to the doctrine and more loving.
 
Not sure where you get this notion but it's bologna. NOTHING you state here even remotely resembles anything in LDS doctrine so I hardly know how to respond to it beyond that....
just one MORE misleading, misperceived, lie about mormonism to add to the boat load of others that people think, believe and use to hate mormons. VERY sad either way....
 
Nope, Jesus Christ was the firstborn/ first spirit created. Satan came later. There was a war in heaven where Christ had a plan and Satan had a plan. Christ's plan was that we'd get free will and he would die for our sins, Satan's plan was that he would take away our choice to sin and that he would take the glory away from God. Of course God didn't pick Satan's plan, but let's say he did... if we were forced to not sin we wouldn't need a savior, so there would be no salvation in Satan.
