prophet Mohammed? Here are a couple of examples............

Many comedians, shows, cartoons etc in Europe, US, western nations, will constantly make jokes about religious stereotypes, God, Jesus, Jews, Mormons, Sikh's, Catholics

Do you think it's wrong?

And if you do, is extreme violence behavior justified when you are offended?

Why does it seem to me that we should be politically correct and tread carefully for some Muslim groups but no worries what we say about other religions?

Thoughts please......

Jokes are meant to make every man and woman laugh. Jokes brightens our day, lightens the weight of our burden and responsibilities in life. But when there is an element of insult to a particular group of people in a joke, how do you expect the insulted party to respond? Smile and pretend to feel amused?
Then what would be the next joke? Think...!

Violence , is never justified .
but there are many red lines that no one should cross , like Holocaust jokes , jesus , and islam ...
it is just a way to make people angry in order to make some other laugh , i don't that race , religion and the suffer of other human beings are jokes .

I have actually starred this as an "interesting " question...

I am a Muslim and here's what I think:

1. Yes, I think it is wrong. In Islam insulting/ making fun of any religious idol (Including prophets or any other religious figures) is very indecent and wrong. Full respect should be made to all religious figures, even the non-Muslims. That is why you never see a Muslim Cartoonist making fun of Jesus or Moses for example...

2. Violence in all its forms is COMPLETELY forbidden in Islam.
After the latest controversy over the Danish cartoons , many Muslim figures and scholars denied the violent response , many Muslim Sheikhs (preists) went to Denmark to talk to moderate people and try to calm the situation.
However, when voices went loud against cartoons, no one in the west (except for very very few) did any thing in return to apologize to Muslims for at least hurting their feelings !!! it was a complete negligence of their feelings. So I think the careless reaction is what brought out the violence , people had the feeling they needed to do more than just the talk so that they could grab attention and make themselves heard.

3. Why not?? I mean if other religions accept to be insulted, it is their problem . But for us we do not insult anyone so we expect the respect to be mutual.

Sometimes, when I see people acting just like a chimpanzee- hahahalalalalig and jumping up and down, beating their chests, ripping up other humans- I get a little spark in my mind that maybe we did come from chimps after all.

Because when people act that way, it sure seems subhuman.

We let them INTO the free world- but they seem to have no intent of wanting to let this world remain FREE.

It's wrong because they are deliberately hurting the Muslims' feelings by insulting their most beloved and respected person, protesting would be a normal reaction imo, but extreme violence would be against Islamic teaching, Not everyone is perfect.
He himself wouldn't have approved such acts if he were alive today

While I wait for the video to load.

any faith that uses violence rules by fear. And eventually will fail because fear has a nasty habit of biting back when pushed into a corner.

I wonder how muslims get round the simple fact that god created man in his own image and loves every single one of his creations so by killing them they are in fact killing his creation.

Every faith has the right feel offended by jokes that belittle them. Its how you deal with that offence
My faith teaches me to laugh instead of getting angry and seek revenge.

You have to wonder about a faith that feels the need to use primitive urges such anger and violence to defend it. That teaches hate and to lie to your enemies.

As the guy say it it commands him to use terror.

This religion has no room for love or compassion in my opinion.

Very good question I must say. Well are u religious person?
Do u get offended when some1 will say a joke about your religion?
O.K I must admit that I'm religious person but I don't get offended when some1 is making jokes on the Christianity or some other religion. As long as is not very rude and swears are not included or offending God. Then I get angry. There are some jokes that I laugh @. But definitely I don't justify extreme violence behavior . I guess that Muslims have the so called Jihad which 4 them is a "saint war" and is in their culture. But it doesn't mean that evrey1 is violent if is a Muslim. That would be very stupid if people think like this. I know people who are Muslims and they are very good persons.
I think that we should not provocate them or any other religion. Make jokes but don't overdo it. It is my opinion that some comedians, shows, etc in Europe, US, western nations, exaggerate by making this jokes. Everything has to be in moderate quantities.

oh and about the opinion of gutbucke...
well does she or he thinks, that is maybe better without any religions? what this person wanted to say?
Maybe according to her or him is better to get back to the Communism where religions where forbidden. What a loser.

They need to go that far... The Islamic religion is about the bloodiest most primitive religion still surviving today... That's about the best religion to keep the lowest IQ people in total submission to their Clergy, Mullahs, Ayatollahs or what have you....
