Do people who work in the Human Resource field travel often?

I'm considering to major in Human Resources and eventually work my way up to be an HR manager. However, I've researched it a bit and heard that many HR workers travel often. Is this true? And if this is, about how often do you travel? Once a year? Multiple times a year? Only for training?

And when you answer, please tell me what kind of relationship you have to the "Human resource field" (For example, are you a HR specialist? Do you know of one? Are you majoring in HR? etc.)
