(lolll!!!) wish Obama had not asked BP.? ...for any money at all?
I'm really mystified by this!
What do they wish he had asked BP for - coffee and donuts?
The money is a Govt fund to help to cleanup and help people impacted by the spill - what on Earth is wrong with this, other than it cost some Republican campaign donator some money?

BP was already handing out money to those who could prove they were hurt by the spill. Complaints came in that the process was too "slow". Do they really think that a buch of DC bureaucrats can do it faster? Thousands of people are not proving their losses and then complaining that they aren't getting enough money. BP is already paying for all costs involved in the clean up. We don't need more red tape. BP is also paying thousands of laid off oil rig workers. Workers who lost their jobs because of OBAMA's moratorium.

What Obama did in fact is called "BLACKMAIL". Obama's job in government is to enforce the laws that the Congress passes. All that Obama did was get BP into a room and "make them an offer they couldn't refuse". Good old Chicago style politics. Obama is overstepping both the Congress and the Courts of this country. The Republicans are not "upset" with losing contributions, BP actually gave more money to the Dem's than to the Repub's if that is where you are going. The Repub's simply want the rule of law to be followed. So when the government sends a person into your bank to remove all of your money from the bank, without any papers showing that they have any right to your money, you will not have any problem with that will you? The only difference here is that you are not BP, if the government removed all of your money illegally you would scream. Because there are laws that have to be followed by everyone, even Obama.

As President, I would have spent all my effort fixing the leak. Once that was accomplished I would have then tried to fix the blame. Crazy thoughts eh? BTW, that amount of money won't cover the costs of the Tony Rezko types who will have their hand in the pie.
