LOL! Guess what:

A. It was an open seat, the party previously not in control has better chances.
B. The Republican vote was split.
C. The former Republican member had a scandal
D. This particular election is meaningless.
E. The Republican could never have voted on the plan anyways.

Next time, try basing an argument on common sense.
