I heard a broadcaster in a game say the quarterback wanted to run one more play so they could
move the ball to the middle of the playing field. Why isn't the ball spotted in the middle of the football field after every play? Or did I misintrepret what the broadcaster was saying. Also, do the yellow lines for first down show up on the playing field, or is it just the TV audience that sees the yellow first down line?
