Do viewers sometimes try the following when watching dubbed anime?

When I was watching ".hack//Legend of the Twilight" online, I had Notepad opened and was trying to type out as much of the diologue as possible while the characters were speaking. I couldn't keep up, of course, so I ended up skipping much of the text. I did this because I try to avoid passive activities such as sitting and simply staring at a screen. I tend to zone out from time to time, so this is part of my exercise routine to increase mental alertness and stability. I'm also trying to increase my typing speed from 110 wpm to 120 wpm.
 
WEll thats weird, haha. No I've never tried that. I guess it would help with typing faster...
