Do you clean dishes with raw egg with hot or cold water?

I have heard both. Asked this before and got an array of answers from people saying they were chefs to farmers, and thus claiming they knew "the real, correct answer." But there was honestly a very equal number of responses saying use cold or use hot water.

What is the correct thing to do? I know egg left on a dish can be health hazardous, so I want to make sure I'm doing the correct thing.

I live in an apartment, cook my own meals. I do not live with my parents (I'm in my 20s) so don't just say "ask your parents." They are not around.
