Were leaving for a week long vacation on Friday and i've been packing things since yesterday because I pack for my husband, 2 year old daughter and myself, so I need a head start lol. I plan on cleaning the house on Thursday, that way its clean when we leave the next day.
I usually dust the house, wipe down the kitchen, clean the bathroom, vacuum the floors and use the Hoover Floormate on them, and do any laundry that needs to be done...basically, I clean everything. Even if we take a short weekend trip or a day trip, I find myself doing this because I hate coming home to a messy house. How about you?
I'm proud of myself for almost having my daughter and myself packed, so all I have to do now is pack my husband. I just get so bent out of shape when were getting ready to travel because for one, i'm a stay at home mom and so I have all the normal household things to do, along with caring for a toddler and a crazy 70 pound dog. But also because I do all the packing of the suitcases, I pack the car, make sure the car has gas, an oil change if needed, and anything else car related, run all the last minute errands, take the dog to the kennel, clean the house, basically everything to do with a vacation around here...I do it lol. Not that i'm complaining..its nice to get away, but it can be hard work. What do you do before you travel?
