please them? My wife has explained to me that she has sex with me to try and please me. I felt a little put off by that but I couldn't exactly put my finger on why. I kind of think that sex is more about passion, love etc ... than her "pleasing me". That makes it sounds like she is doing a chore. I'm interested in other perceptions on if you have sex with someone to please them??

huh? what the hell are you complaining about? your wifes goal is to please you in bed your not happy with it?! you want it to be because she loves you? thats all fine and good and i understand completely. but complaining because she wants to please you is unacceptable. please place your man card on the table on your way out.

I'll be honest, I've only heard this from very sheltered women who are wholly ignorant of the subject, or foreign women whose culture is in direct contrast to western. Whatever...yeah, I'm with you...this is kinda sad...the best sex is about love, attraction, passion, MUTUAL gratification.

If I've hit a "nerve" here, you need to discuss with her about her feelings and where she's developed this idea on sex...I too, would be very interested to know, though I suspect I'm right on the above.
If I am? I also submit it's your duty to help teach her the finer points of lovemaking, if not other matters pertaining thereto.

It sounds the same way to me. I think what she is trying to say is she is not finding satisfaction in it and it is something she does as a chore to make you happy.

Many women aren't satisfied sexually, and it's not because men don't try. Often it's simply that men go straight for the sexual organs and forget everything else and a woman needs mental stimulation as well as full body stimulation. The three zones men like to go too need to be put on hold and the rest of her body aroused first, then and only after she's panting like crazy, do you go to the sexual zones. Remember flirting and having a fun day together, that was a form of foreplay that she enjoyed and that's where it all started for her.

Lastly, some women still find it hard to orgasm no matter what a man does. A great book for you to read would be this one. http://www.amazon.com/Elusive-Orgasm-Womans-Guide-Cant/dp/1600940234/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1283288970&sr=8-2
A great book to get her would be this one. http://www.amazon.com/Have-Orgasm-As-Often-Want-ebook/dp/B00336ENII/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&m=AG56TWVU5XWC2&s=digital-text&qid=1283288970&sr=8-5

Of course i believe you should order both books and work on it together. What you want is her wanting to have sex with you because it's pleasurable for her as well. It might take a lot of work... but wouldn't it be worth it?

No, I do it because I want too and it pleases me too. It is never a chore for me.

I would ask her what she needs from me to please her. I would ask some thing i do not mind doing. If it was help with the dishes i would do them every night. Have her do me every night. Not every one enjoys sex as much as the rest of us. If she is welling to have sex with you more then she needs it. This is her love for you be happy not put off with it. Be happy for what you have the hill isn't greener else where. Tell her how lucky you are to have a wife that wants to please you.

I have sex with my husband to please me, not him. He knows it. If he was a rotten lover, I would never have married him. I'm selfish that way.

I consider it to be a fun activity for both of us, actually.
Mutually pleasing.
