famous artists because they? famous artists because they are rich anyway but i suppose to not pay to hear new bands starting out is abit mean . i guess it makes them feel angry i would be annoyed if i was a up and coming artist then again , my motto to myself is if you can get away with something for free why spend your money?i dont do it actually though .

I do, but I'm into old rock stuff, so it would be really cheap anyway. I do download some newer stuff from less popular artists (My Chemical Romance, Paramore, etc) but if these people were TRUE artists, they wouldn't care, because they should make music, because music is their passion, not just because you get money.

If I enjoy an artist or software I download I always support them and purchase their stuff anyway, those who deserve the support get it.

I buy the CD to support artists I admire. Otherwise, if it's just background stuff that I could turn on the radio and hear within 10 minutes anyway, I download it.
