I've never done it before although I've wanted to (never had spare change on me), and I've always wondered if people actually really do donate.

I don't because I never really know where the money is going too exactly. If I want to donate to a cause I rather person give it to the needing rather then having a middle man who claims to be giving the donating when really it ends up only being a percentage.

No. you could say its a bad thing but do you REALLY know that the creepy looking guy in the Santa hat is really gonna give all that money to the salvation army or "needy children" ? Ya, It could be official but you never know when he takes that bucket in his car that maybe he'll take like half of it..
So I kind of stray from that kind of thing.

no, i never have money on me

but i do wish they could stop with all the ringing

Its usually a $5 dollar bill! I help where I can! I had a friend the other day say that any one can dress as a Santa & ask for money but the way I see it is if they have to dress up as Santa & ask for spare change then the least I can do is share a bit of what I have.

Merry Christmas!
