negatively impacted...? the morals of our society?

I'm looking for ideas for a project for a communication class and need books for my group to read on whatever topic we end up picking.

I ask this in religion because more people here are likely to have a strong opinion on the subject and may have read a book related to.
 
You could try searching for books by the late Steve Allen. I don't know for sure that he wrote any, but I do know that in his later years he was waging a campaign against immorality in the media. I remember seeing some full-page newspaper ads from him with the headline "Hollywood is leading America down a moral sewer", or something like that. I tend to agree with his position, though I'm not as alarmed about it as he was.
