Do you know how I can get my CD/DVD drives on my computer to work again?

I really do not know what has happened to my CD/DVD drives on my computer but they just don't work anymore. When I go to put in a CD or a DVD, the computer says that it is unable to read the disc. I looked on 'My Computer' and it said that the CD/DVD drives are corrupt! I just have no idea how this could have happened!
Do you know how I might go about fixing them?

You could try deleting the driver in control panel/device manager and then rebooting, Windows will reload the drivers.
If that doesnt work then its possible that the drives are broken but try putting a cd/dvd lens cleaner in first it may just be a dirty lens?

It could simply be that they are corrupt.
You can try a few things:
1. Make sure it is correctly set up
2. Download and update the drivers for it
3. Get a pro to look at it
4. Buy a decent one

It helps if you list what type you have, so next time post all the vital information.
