Do you need A level science for all nutrition courses?

HI I'm really fascinated by the nutritional composition of food (fat, sugar etc) due to my dietary obsession. I recently thought I could do this professionally but have discovered that university courses require at least one science at A level. I have double award science at grade BB for GCSE and am currently studying for AS levels in non science related subjects. Can you suggest a course that would correlate with my interests or suggest another possible action I could take? Thanks p.s I live in Northern Ireland and am four months into my studies.
