Do you need the software for the LG Chocolate Slider Phone (Verizon) to get the MP3

player to work? Model No: VX8550LK: I added memory via a SD card, once in the phone I formatted it. Then I plug the card into the PC and added music in MP3 format. However, when I put the card in the phone it recognizes nothing and says the file is empty even though the card shows it has the files on it when I ask of the memory used. I did some research that seemed to say that the player will read anything in MP3 format...
 
You are correct on the format being MP3 but the only information that I have uncovered on your problem is to make sure you put the music in the proper folder, My_Music. Other than that the phone may be defective. That particular model has had its share of problems.
