They seem to be in everyone's business, either picking up the phone when they see a child spanked (not beat, a quick swat or two to the bottom) or scolded loudly (not belittled, berated but "DON'T DO THAT, BAD!") to keep their children in line but are also quick to ridicule those who want to discipline their children but are afraid to because if they do the same nosy people will be on the phone reporting them.
Vicious cycle, isn't it?
