How the media sensationalizes stories of gun violence, and the amount of gun deaths occur....how the media praises the skinny and the beautiful, and we're the most obsese country on the planet..ect..

Stop trying to use big words to sound smart, it's prevalent, not prevailant. At least you spelled sensationalize right. But yes, I suppose you're right. The emphasis that the media places on these issues makes the issues themselves seem much more widespread, even if they aren't really.
