There is no reason to believe in an "afterlife". The christian "afterlife" just seems so boring and lame. I am glad it doesn't exist.

I agree.
What would I do sitting around in heaven for eternity ? Just playing my harp?

Well if you think about it they will be mindless robots, because if you take away sin, its like your taking off a piece of who we are. Which wouldn't make us who we are.

So when you see the man that raped your daughter in heaven, your not going got do anything.

If Santa was casted out of heaven, how long do you think you'll last?

No, I don't think so. The heaven part about the roads are gold and the chairs are made of glass are just plain dumb, but I'm glad it DOES exist. But that is your opinion, however, and like any Christian I hope that you find god. the afterlife may be stupid the way it is described, but I believe in god. =)

To me it's not so much boring and lame as it seems terrifying and depressing.

Many believe that heaven is a place where you will be reunited with your dearly departed ancestors and that the family unit and memory of past experiences will continue on in this place. Jesus claims that in heaven, all tears will be wiped away and all things will be made new (. As human individuals we must have memory of our past experiences for our lives to have any meaning to us personally. If your memories were taken away, the person you were would cease to exist to you, so conscious memory of who you are (self-realization) is what gives your life true meaning.

Now think about it. Will you maintain your self-realization and memories in heaven? Not if you plan on having a life with no pain or suffering. Who we are is based on our past life experiences, both joyful and painful, and the memory of a painful experience causes a re-living of the pain that memory involved. To live a life of no suffering would require that all memory of suffering be erased. Who you were would have to be altered drastically in order for you to never suffer again. The person you know yourself to be right now could not exist in heaven. And what good does it do you to live for an eternity in harmony and peace if you can't remember your life?

Don't know, never been there. But I'll let you know as soon as (if) I get there.
Peace.

I'm not really sure what the Christian idea of heaven is. They just seem to talk about hell and the devil a lot, especially when they don't want to take responsibility for their own actions.

Absolutely. It does sound very mundane. I mean existing just to worship God? How lame and unexciting. Heaven doesn't seem perfect at all but very white and just annoying. Everyone up there is perfect (supposedly) and there would be no controversy or anything. Ugh.

I think I'd rather be in Hell, maybe there's a party going on or something.

I bet heaven is like being at church 24/7. All you do is sing praises of God and listen to infinite lectures of God and his awesomeness. Whoop-de-doo.

In a world where everybody is happy, peaceful, agreeing with each other all the time... that's a nice idea, but if you were to live in such a society it would be in reality very, very boring.

That's what's so wonderful about life. The diversity of ideas.

Most religion in the whole world speaks about it, isn't that curious?
Myself, I dived to the root of all religions - the Vedas - and there the explanations about afterlife is just so clear and amazing, perfect!!!

Actually, the very concept of an afterlife is pagan, rather than Christian. It was adopted by apostate Christianity, but, true Christianity teaches its true origins, as in . . .
