...by the Twilight movies? Are hoards or teenage girls obsessed with sparkly emo-pires champing at the bit to get a piece of the action in the only official goth/witch/hippy/pagan/vampy religion in the hope the secrets of 'real' vampires might be revealed to them allowing them to be swept off their feet by a camp emo boy who lacking a shirt with a rippling sixpack and ssupid floppy haircut?

Or is it something else?
 
No, the Wiccan obsession started way before Twilight grew popular. It's just kids doing what they always do, trying new things, trying to rebel from their parents, etc. I really don't think the books have much to do with it.

Also, Wicca has nothing to do with vampires. It does involve casting spells, to an extent, but it's more about bending energy, generating positive energy, and taking care of the environment.
