...the CM Punk rant promo? CM Punk was at the top of his game in WWE he had new nexus that one thing could have lead him up to a title shot.Other superstars actually had a reason to do that rant.Superstars like R-Truth,Wade Barrett,Mark Henry,Daniel Bryan(he had promos similar on nxt),Curt Hawkins who still hasn't had his in ring debut on Raw yet.Don't get me wrong i think CM Punk did a great job but i think WWE had a chance to get a superstar over with that promo.
 
Chris Jericho had he stayed. He already had some sort of ego and was outspoken as a heel. He was just as good as Punk. I would have loved to see him on the same angle as Punk was.
 
What many people don't seem to understand is that those were Punk's words and his words alone. I'm sure he got the OK to say what he wanted to about whoever he wanted to, but if you've listened to any CM Punk shoots pre-WWE or even heard him on his buddy Colt's Art of Wrestling podcast, you'd know that these were things that Punk has been saying and thinking for a long time now.

I don't think people like R-Truth, Wade Barrett, Mark Henry, Daniel Bryan, or Curt Hawkins had the maliciousness, motivation, charisma, or elocution to make a shoot promo work in the way that CM Punk did. I'm not saying that Punk was the only person on the roster who could do a shoot, but he sure as heck was the only one who could do THAT shoot, because those were HIS words.
 
I'm thinking Curt Hawkin's could of pulled it off aswell, I mean he needs a huge push in the WWE, I think if WWE really wants to they could push him into the United States Championship division on Monday Night Raw.
